Invertebrates
Fire Shrimp.
A deep blood-red cleaner shrimp dotted with white spots and long white antennae — a jewel of a reef invert. Peaceful and reef-safe, it sets up a cleaning station and may pick parasites off fish; give it caves in a 20-gallon-plus reef.
In-store purchase only. Live fish, coral, and invertebrates are sold at our Erie store only. They cannot be bought online, and we do not ship live animals under any circumstances.

Live animals are sold in store only — we do not ship fish, coral, or invertebrates. Every animal is acclimated and health-checked in-house before it reaches the sales floor. This is a species we carry — it's most likely in the tanks around delivery days, but live stock changes daily. Please call (814) 456-9445 to confirm availability before you drive in.

Good tank mates
A peaceful, reef-safe cleaner shrimp that lives well with most community fish and other peaceful inverts, often setting up a cleaning station that fish visit to be picked clean of parasites. It is peaceful toward fish but aggressive toward its own kind, so keep just one per tank unless you add a bonded pair to a large, rockwork-heavy aquarium. Keep it away from known shrimp-eaters such as larger wrasses, hawkfish, triggers, lionfish, and big predatory fish that will hunt it. It can be shy at first, so give it caves and overhangs and it will grow bolder over time.
Good to know
The deep-red fire shrimp acts as a cleaner, plucking dead tissue and parasites off fish that come to its station; it is territorial with other fire shrimp, however, so it is usually kept singly or as a single bonded pair.
Stock and individual temperament vary — call (814) 456-9445 for pairing advice before you buy.

Ultra Black Ice
Peaceful, reef-safe, and well-documented as safe with fire shrimp. At 3–4 inches max with no crustacean-predation behavior and no cave-territory overlap with fire shrimp, this pairing carries no meaningful risk.

Green Chromis
Small, peaceful, open-water schooling planktivore. No predation risk to any invertebrate the size of a fire shrimp. Shares identical reef water parameters with zero territorial overlap.

Firefish Goby
Docile, small goby (max ~3 in) that poses no threat to fire shrimp. Reef-safe, invertebrate-safe, and widely kept alongside cleaner shrimp without incident.
- B
Blue Hippo Tang
Reef-safe planktivore that poses no predation risk to fire shrimp. The relationship is mutually beneficial — fire shrimp actively clean ectoparasites off tangs, which are notoriously parasite-susceptible. Widely confirmed compatible in reef settings (125+ gal minimum tank required).
