Good tank mates
Peaceful and community-safe, so this GloFish pristella tetra fits a calm community tank. Good tankmates include other small peaceful schoolers like other tetras, rasboras, corydoras catfish, and peaceful gouramis, plus livebearers like platies and guppies. Avoid fin-nippers, much larger or aggressive fish, and anything big enough to swallow it. Keep a school of six or more for the best display.
Good to know
The pristella tetra (also called the X-ray tetra) has translucent skin that lets you see part of its backbone, and the GloFish version is a fluorescent line of the same species.
