Freshwater Fish
Dalmatian Lyretail Molly.
A speckled black-and-white molly with a graceful lyre-shaped tail. Beginner-easy, peaceful, and a steady algae grazer; mollies like hard water with a touch of salt tolerance, and they'll breed readily in a 20-gallon-plus community.

Good tank mates
Peaceful and community-safe, it mixes well with other easygoing community fish: other livebearers (platies, swordtails, guppies), small tetras, rasboras, and peaceful corydoras. Avoid fin-nippers, which may pick at the long lyretail, and steer clear of aggressive fish or anything large enough to eat it.
Good to know
Mollies are livebearers that give birth to free-swimming young rather than laying eggs.
