Live animals are sold in store only — we do not ship fish, coral, or invertebrates. Every animal is acclimated and health-checked in-house before it reaches the sales floor. This is a species we carry — it's most likely in the tanks around delivery days, but live stock changes daily. Please call (814) 456-9445 to confirm availability before you drive in.

Good tank mates
The bronze cory is peaceful and community-safe, an ideal bottom-dweller for a calm community tank. Good tankmates include small tetras, rasboras, peaceful gouramis, and livebearers like platies and guppies up in the water column. Avoid large or aggressive fish that may harass it, fin-nippers, and anything big enough to swallow it. Keep three or more together, since these are social fish that forage in a group.
Good to know
Corydoras catfish can breathe air by gulping at the surface and absorbing oxygen through their intestine, an adaptation that helps them survive in low-oxygen water.

Neon Tetra
Classic peaceful community pairing. Neon tetras occupy the mid-water column while Bronze Corys work the substrate, eliminating competition. Both species thrive in soft, slightly acidic tropical water (pH 6.0–7.2, temp 72–78°F) and are non-aggressive toward one another.

Honey Gourami
Aquarium Co-Op's Corydoras care guide names honey gourami as an ideal peaceful centerpiece companion for corys. Honey gouramis occupy the upper water column, leaving bottom territory undisturbed. Both species prefer soft, slightly acidic tropical water and are non-aggressive.

Harlequin Rasbora
Seriously Fish's Corydoras aeneus species profile confirms compatibility with peaceful community fish. Harlequin rasboras are mid-water schooling fish sharing the same soft, slightly acidic tropical freshwater parameters as Bronze Corys, with zero aggression or fin-nipping history.

Otocinclus
Otocinclus and Corydoras naturally co-school in the wild and share near-identical care requirements: soft, well-oxygenated tropical water, peaceful temperament, and small body size. Multiple aquarist sources confirm this is one of the most reliable cory pairings available. Note: the original source cited (a neon tetra page) was incorrect; this pairing is verified through species-level aquarist literature.
