Freshwater Plants
Anubias on Driftwood.
Hardy anubias already attached to a piece of driftwood — instant, low-maintenance hardscape for any tank five gallons or up. Its tough, dark-green leaves handle low light and curious fish; just place it and let it grow.

Good tank mates
Anubias is a tough, slow-growing aquatic plant, not an animal, so it is compatible with nearly any freshwater community and is one of the few plants that even hold up in tanks with cichlids, goldfish, and plant-nibbling fish. Its thick, bitter-tasting leaves are usually left alone by herbivores, and it gives shrimp, fry, and shy fish welcome cover. Pair it with peaceful or rough fish alike.
Good to know
Anubias should never be buried — its creeping stem (rhizome) will rot if planted in substrate, which is exactly why it is so often glued or tied onto driftwood and rock instead.
Stock and individual temperament vary — call (814) 456-9445 for pairing advice before you buy.
