Bronze Cory
Peaceful bottom-dwelling catfish that share similar soft, slightly acidic water requirements and coexist with kuhli loaches in the substrate zone without territorial aggression.
Harlequin Rasbora
Small, peaceful schooling fish that prefers the mid-water column and the same soft, acidic Southeast Asian water conditions, leaving the bottom zone free for kuhlis.
Neon Tetra
Tiny, non-aggressive schooling fish occupying the upper-to-mid column that will not bother bottom-dwelling kuhli loaches. Temperature ranges overlap at 74–78°F, providing a workable sweet spot for both species.

Non-aggressive gourami that occupies mid-to-surface levels and is listed as a compatible community fish alongside kuhli loaches in tanks with similar soft-water parameters. Territorial behavior is limited to conspecifics, not loaches.
