LPS Coral
Trumpet Coral (Candy Cane).
The Trumpet Coral, commonly called Candy Cane Coral, is a large-polyp stony (LPS) coral popular with reef keepers of all experience levels. It grows in branching colonies with smooth, rounded polyp heads that come in shades of green, teal, and brown. Under good lighting its fleshy polyps inflate noticeably during the day and retract at night. It is considered one of the more forgiving LPS corals, tolerating a modest range of water conditions.

Good tank mates
Generally peaceful toward fish and most other corals, but like all LPS corals it can extend sweeper tentacles at night to sting neighboring corals. Provide at least 3–4 inches of space between it and adjacent corals.
Good to know
Each individual circular head of a Trumpet Coral is a separate polyp, and a single colony can contain dozens of polyps that all share a connected skeletal base.
