The Peacock Mantis Shrimp is a spectacular, intelligent marine crustacean with famous club-like raptorial appendages and complex stalked eyes. It is a powerful predator that will hunt snails, crabs, and small fish, and is often collected as a live-rock hitchhiker before being rehomed into a species tank. Best kept alone in a dedicated aquarium by a keeper who wants this animal on purpose.
