Good tank mates
The Midas blenny is reef-safe and generally peaceful, doing well with tangs, clownfish, wrasses, cardinalfish, and other easygoing reef fish, and it likes a perch and caves to dart into. It can get nippy or territorial toward other blennies, dartfish, or similarly shaped bottom-dwellers, and toward its own kind unless it is a confirmed pair, so avoid crowding it with lookalikes. It does not bother corals or ornamental shrimp.
Good to know
The Midas blenny is an active mid-water swimmer that often shoals with and mimics the color and movement of yellow Anthias to blend into their groups.
