Good tank mates
This is a designer ocellaris clownfish that fits peaceful reef and saltwater communities with mellow tankmates such as firefish, small gobies, cardinalfish, and dwarf angels. Keep just one clownfish or a single bonded pair, because two unpaired adults will quarrel, and keep it away from large predators like lionfish, groupers, and eels that could eat or bully it. It is generally calm but can be territorial near its chosen host, so give it space from other clownfish.

Black Ice is a captive-bred color morph of the common ocellaris clownfish, selectively bred for heavy black coloring and snowflake-style white patches rather than being a distinct wild species.

Royal Gramma
Occupies a distinct cave/ledge niche well below the water column the clownfish uses. Multiple sources confirm peaceful coexistence with Ocellaris clownfish; intraspecific aggression exists but is directed only at other grammas or near-identical-looking dottybacks, not at orange-and-white Amphiprion. Reef-safe. Requires 30 gal minimum, same as most clownfish builds.
Pajama Cardinalfish
Slow-moving, strictly peaceful Apogonidae with no territorial overlap with anemone-associated clownfish. FishLore and Saltwateraquariumblog all rate it compatible in community reef tanks. Reef-safe with no fin-nipping history toward Amphiprion.
Yellow Watchman Goby
Strictly bottom-dwelling and burrow-anchored; occupies a completely different spatial niche from a clownfish hosting an anemone in the mid-to-upper column. Published reef care guides confirm it is peaceful toward all non-bottom-dwelling community fish and is reef-safe.
Skunk Cleaner Shrimp
Reef-safe invertebrate that actively services clownfish at cleaning stations. Ocellaris clownfish are not shrimp predators, and Published care guides rate this shrimp compatible with all non-predatory marine species. A beneficial, zero-aggression addition.

Bubble Tip Anemone
The natural symbiotic host for Amphiprion ocellaris morphs including Ultra Black Ice. Sea and Reef Aquaculture — the originating breeder of this morph — specifically identifies the bubble-tip anemone as the preferred host. Providing a bubble-tip anemone reduces territorial stress for the clownfish and is not a predation risk to any other fish on this list. Note: BTAs require stable, mature water chemistry and strong lighting, and can wander and contact corals if unhappy — proper placement is essential.
